Open for Business

My last post here was to say goodbye.  I was ready to shut this blog down.

Why?

Because I haven't been able to be here.  Life has just been too busy, too filled with assorted other things.  And ttwd hasn't really been something I've/we've been focused on lately either.

And yet, as I allowed a little time to pass, I found that I'm hesitant to actually say goodbye.

Why?

Quite simply, I miss being a part of this community.  And as much as I thought I was ready to do so, I don't really want to close that door.

Life has been too full of closing doors I don't really want to close as it is.

So, I've decided to keep this blog open.  And hopefully I'll figure out a way to be here more often, to read and comment on your blogs and to share on mine.

I hope that's okay with you and I hope to see you soon ... either at my place or yours.  :)

  1. Lilli, I'm glad you've reconsidered about closing your blog. I've only been blogging a short time but post infrequently because my life is uneventful. I couldn't leave this community of supportive women though. Write when you have something to say or just to check in. We'll be glad to hear from you.

    1. Hi Rosie! Thanks for the encouragement! I keep hoping to get here more often, but that has been difficult. Still, I'm very thankful for this community (all of you!). :)

  2. My comment is to you and Rosie Jones. I think we all go through patches where our lives seem somewhat mundane or uninteresting; even vanilla. ;) The reality is, by sharing those times as well, we realize life IS that way instead of getting stuck in a mindset of "everyone else has more interesting things to say and I just have a routine." I think Facebook and other social media, where people choose to show picture perfect highlights, sometimes makes us forget that life is not always on the extremes and at times, it's good to know coasting is perfectly normal. Personally, I'm thrilled you are back. Amy

  5. Lilli that has made my day, I'm so happy you have decided not to close your blog. I've always loved visiting to read about your life. Just write when ever you can and it doesn't always have to be about TTWD. Tell us anything we are eager to listen.

    1. Hi Lindy! How sweet of you! For whatever reason I always imagine that no one would likely even notice if I left, much less miss me. I guess that's my own issue though, not really a statement about anyone else or this community.

  6. Hi Lilli, I'm so glad you have reconsidered closing the blog. I always enjoy visiting here. I too echo the others. The friendships here go beyond ttwd. I haven't closed my blog but very rarely post anymore. I love reading others blogs though and wouldn't want to leave this community.

  8. Your post made me think of that old song by The Byrds - "Turn, Turn, Turn." Of course the words are from Ecclesiastes....

"To every thing there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born and a time to die; A time to plant, a time to reap that which is planted......."

There is an ebb and flow to life. Be patient and love yourself. We are glad you are in this circle of women.

    1. Hi Ella! Great scripture (and song)! Be patient and love myself ... sounds so easy, and yet, it's easier to be patient with and love others. Thanks for the encouragement! (((hugs)))

  9. Hi Lilli! :) I am so glad to hear that you are staying around the land! It made me smile to read this. I have always enjoyed reading your posts, as well as getting to know you a bit through the years.

Life can get busy, or complicated, or any number of other things. Sometimes we just need to take a break to concentrate on other things. I sure do know all about that! At the same time, I've found that the friendships made here, are never far from my heart.

It's a wonderful community! Do what you can, when you want to here. When you post, we will always be glad to hear from you! I sure will! So glad that you are staying! Many hugs,

    <3 Katie

    1. Hi Katie! It's strange to read that me sticking around would bring a smile to anyone's face. And that makes me wonder just how off my mindset is these days. Anyway, I'm glad my news made you smile. :)
