Discipline is a tool that God has given us to help us do what we wouldn't do without it. ~ Joyce Meyer
No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. Yes, that’s from the Bible, Hebrews 12:11.
So, discipline is painful (no kidding!), but it helps us make right choices and stay on the right track, creating a peaceful atmosphere. And it’s a tool to help us do what we might not do otherwise. Yeah, that sounds about right.
Maybe I’m on a quest to sort out why this works for us. Do I want to justify it? Not exactly. It’s more about just trying to understand it myself.
What do you think? Why does dd work for you? How was or would your life be different without it?
